I attended Westminster Theological Seminary from 2001 till 2007 and received an M.Div. degree. I had no aspiration to become a minister or a theologian in the first place. If you should ask why then I became a seminarian, it would take some time to unpack what was going through my head as well as in my life. So, it would be best if we sat down comfortably before we have this long talk.

Learning Biblical Hebrew and New Testament Greek was extremely challenging but rewarding. Learning Hermeneutics and Apologetics was a valuable experience. Again, because I didn't plan to change my career, most of my electives were filled with Practical Theology courses, particularly Biblical Counseling. I believe my understanding of human desires deepened as a result -- although it doesn't necessarily mean that I myself personally became more mature.

I admire many of the professors who dedicated their lives to what they believe in, and I pray that God bless them in their faith journeys and academic careers. My fellow students and the professors at Westminster made a deep and long-lasting impression on how I approach my own career as a teacher, not only on how I conduct my life as a Christian man.
